Terms of service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms explain how you can use 97thvintage.com and how we sell to you. Please read them before you place an order. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are
97thvintage.com is run by 97th Vintage Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11912308). Our VAT number is 322263732.
Address: 93 Fleetwood Avenue, Essex, SS0 9RE, United Kingdom
Email: info@97thvintage.com
You can also reach us through our contact form.
2. About our items
We sell pre-loved vintage and designer clothing and accessories. Every piece is one of one, so once it's sold it's gone.
- Items have been worn before. Signs of age and wear are normal for vintage and are part of the piece's character. We describe any noticeable flaws in the listing and show them in the photos where we can.
- Sizes on vintage labels can differ from modern sizing, so please check the measurements in the listing before you buy.
- We try to show colours accurately, but they can look slightly different depending on your screen.
- We're an independent reseller. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by the brands we sell. Brand names and logos belong to their owners.
3. Placing an order
When you place an order you'll get an email confirming we've received it. That email is not acceptance. A contract between us is formed when we email to confirm your order has been dispatched.
We also sell on other marketplaces, so very occasionally a one-of-one item sells elsewhere at the same moment. If that happens, or there's an obvious pricing error, we'll let you know and refund you in full for that item. We may also cancel an order if we can't verify the payment.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are set in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any VAT that applies. If you shop in another currency, the price shown is converted at checkout. Delivery costs are shown at checkout before you pay.
We accept major debit and credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Klarna and Clearpay. Payment is taken in full when you order.
Klarna's Pay in 3 and Pay in 30 days are unregulated credit agreements. Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit. 18+, UK residents only. Subject to status. Ts&Cs and late fees apply. Clearpay is provided by Clearpay Finance Limited under its own terms.
5. Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday on the same working day. Orders placed after that are dispatched the next working day. Delivery times shown on our shipping page are estimates.
- UK: Royal Mail Standard or Express. Free Express delivery on orders of £100 or more.
- International: tracked delivery, with free shipping on orders of £100 or more. All international orders are sent Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), so duties and import taxes are included and there's nothing extra to pay on delivery.
Items become your responsibility once they've been delivered to the address you gave us. If your parcel is lost or arrives damaged, contact us and we'll help sort it out.
6. Changing your mind: returns
You can return items within 14 days of delivery for UK orders, or 21 days of delivery for international orders.
- Items must be unused and in the same condition you received them, with the 97th Vintage swing tag still attached. If the swing tag has been removed, the return won't be accepted.
- To start a return, email info@97thvintage.com or use our contact form, giving your name, order number and reason for return.
- Return postage is paid by you. We recommend a tracked, signed-for service, as we can't be responsible for items lost on the way back to us.
- We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving and checking your return, to your original payment method.
Full details are on our returns page and in our refund policy.
7. If something's wrong with your order
If an item is faulty, or not as described in the listing, or we've sent the wrong item, please contact us as soon as you can. We'll put it right with a refund or exchange, and we'll cover the cost of sending it back. Wear or flaws described in the listing aren't faults.
This is in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that, but not for losses that weren't foreseeable. We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breaching your legal rights in relation to the goods.
We aren't responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier disruption or severe weather.
9. Using our website
- All content on this site, including our photos, descriptions and logo, belongs to 97th Vintage Ltd. Please don't copy or reuse it without our permission.
- If you create an account, keep your login details private. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email.

- We may update or change the site at any time, and we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
10. Competitions and giveaways
Any competition or giveaway we run will have its own rules, which we'll publish with it. Unless those rules say otherwise, no purchase is necessary, prizes can't be exchanged for cash, and winners are picked at random and contacted directly.
11. Your personal information
We handle your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
12. Complaints and the law
If you're unhappy with anything, please email info@97thvintage.com and we'll do our best to put it right.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
